About Michelle Chrastil

TESTIMONIAL

"Michelle was such a blessing to our family. My oldest girl Rachel absolutely loved her. Michelle was able to incorporate learning into playtime and she has an amazing ability to manage little ones. As a working mom, I couldn't have made it without her when my second child was born. I don't know who she took better care of, me or my girls! "

Michelle Chrastil"In working with families I use a combination of relationship work, play therapy techniques, and behavioral techniques to address a variety of issues that may be impacting a family or a child within the home. I believe that the work we do together should respect your unique strengths, needs, and experiences. Therefore, while I am trained in a number of techniques, the techniques I use are determined by where you are now and by your goals for therapy. In addition to talk therapy, I offer, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to treat anxiety disorders and Play Therapy for children.  I encourage any  questions you may have about any of these techniques or my theoretical approach during our first initial phone consultation or during the intake session.

Research has shown that one of the most important factors in successful therapy is a good therapeutic relationship. I offer a complimentary 30 minute phone consultation so we can talk about your goals, needs and expectations of therapy. The goal of this consultation is to answer any questions you may have about me as a therapist and make sure you feel comfortable and have a sense of connectedness in order to begin therapy.
